Four million years after the nuclear wars, humanity experienced its first mutation, a result of the radioactive fallout. Thousands of children began to emerge with extraordinary abilities that defied the laws of physics. However, the USSR, fearing these powers, isolated all of them on a remote island and trained them to become the coldest super soldiers in the world. To control them, they were brainwashed into believing they were fighting imaginary enemies.
Among these mutants was Ea, a boy widely regarded as an ugly, worthless loser. Despite possessing overpowered abilities, he kept them hidden and became a target for relentless bullying. One day, a new transfer student entered the class. This boy, a loud and arrogant figure, assumed he’d found another victim and demanded Ea reveal his talent. However, the newcomer, Kya, quickly silenced the bully, threatening to cut off his arm if he persisted.
After this exchange, a stunning girl with pink hair walked into the classroom, introducing herself as Nana. She announced that she had the ability to read minds but cheekily asked the boys to stop fantasizing about her immediately. With only one seat left, Nana ended up sitting beside Ea.
After class, Nana approached Ea, asking if he was bullied because of his appearance. She then surprised him by saying she wanted to be his friend. Before their conversation could continue, a bully named Mugo shoved Ea’s face into the desk, warning Nana not to associate with such a weak, talentless loser.
This was the life Ea had always known. Since childhood, people avoided him for being a mutation. Even his own father resented him, often wishing he hadn’t given life to what he considered a demon. Ea, in turn, swore never to use his powers again, yet his father still sent him to the remote island where the mockery only intensified.
Later that day, as Ea headed home, he noticed Nana following him. She insisted there was a spot she wanted to show him. When they reached a cliff, Nana questioned why he hid his abilities. Ea lied, claiming it was to stay safe because there were rumors of enemies infiltrating their island.
As they talked, a sudden gust of wind knocked Nana off balance, sending her over the edge as the rope beneath her tore. Meanwhile, Kya had been observing the two from a distance and suspected something unusual was happening. Acting quickly, Ea managed to save Nana’s life. She expressed her gratitude, but what Ea didn’t realize was that this entire situation had been part of her plan.
After returning to his dorm, Nana suggested that Ea should become the class representative, saying she believed he was different from everyone else. However, Ea dismissed the idea, telling her to stop bringing up leadership, as it reminded him of his father. Intrigued, Nana wondered why he seemed to hate his father, especially since his thoughts revealed that he actually admired him. Her insight unsettled Ea, and he found it repulsive how she could understand everything about him without him even speaking. Frustrated, he told her to leave him alone.
That night, Ea reflected on how much his life had changed so suddenly. He’d never touched or even spoken to a girl before, just like—well, you know, the losers watching this video right now. (That one stung—personally, I wouldn’t take it.) His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on his door. Surprised, he wondered why Nana was in the boys’ dormitory. She handed him the watch he had left in the cafeteria, revealing that she had spent all night looking for it just to make him feel better.
The next day, the duel for class representative began. The Ice Prince, Seya, faced off against Mugo. As the battle commenced, Seya blocked Mugo’s attack and countered with ice spears, one of which scratched Mugo’s face. Enraged, Mugo activated his fire talent, unleashing a devastating final attack. Seya responded with his freezing storm, managing to block most of the flames. Though Mugo’s fire briefly broke through Seya’s defenses, Seya countered in the final moments by freezing Mugo’s foot to the ground.
As the crowd erupted in cheers, Nana congratulated Seya on becoming the new leader. However, Kya watched the scene with gleaming eyes, realizing Nana’s enthusiasm for someone else. He dismissed her as just another “ho.”
Refusing to accept his loss, Mugo launched a massive Giga Inferno toward the crowd. As the flames hurtled toward Nana, Ea, who had lived his life in constant fear, decided it no longer mattered what his father thought. Awakening his overpowered ability, Ea neutralized the inferno just before it could harm anyone.
As the fire dissipated, Ea apologized to Nana for not thanking her the night before. He then revealed his hidden ability: the power to neutralize the talents of other mutants. Stunned by his strength, Nana declared him the strongest man alive. Moved by his display of courage, the crowd decided to make Ea their leader.
As the sun set, Ea thanked Nana for helping him embrace his powers. For years, he had feared his abilities, worrying they could only end lives. Now, he realized they could also save them. At that moment, Nana asked him if his talent to neutralize abilities could suppress her mind-reading powers. Curious, she grabbed his hand and began to cry, overwhelmed by the sudden silence in her mind. For the first time in her life, the voices stopped.
Seeing her tears, Ea thought about how difficult her life must have been. He wondered if she could still guess what he was thinking. Smiling, she confirmed that she could. She explained that she always knew he was being bullied because he pretended to read books without turning the pages. She had called him kind because of the cat scratch on his neck and had guessed the nature of his relationship with his father based on the watch he wore.
The watch, she reasoned, must have been a gift from someone who cared about him, but since he had forgotten it, she suspected that he harbored resentment toward the person who gave it to him. Her deduction confirmed Ea’s internal struggle, leaving him both impressed and uneasy.
Ea’s hatred for his father had been provoked the night before, and in that moment, he realized Nana was one of the enemies. However, she countered by saying that he was the real enemy of humanity, accusing him of being a monster who should erase his existence from the world. She revealed that she had read his thoughts and knew he had killed over a million people.
The following day, Nana used the phone given to her by the agency, which contained data about how many murders each of the mutated children had committed. Her mission was clear: eliminate every single one of them.
While the group trained, Mugo noticed Ea’s sudden disappearance after becoming the class leader. He asked about him, but Nana feigned ignorance. During the training session, a boy named Yahi nearly fell into the lake, screaming that he couldn’t swim. Seya quickly descended and froze the entire pond to save him. Watching this, Nana found it revolting that children with powers capable of destroying the world were walking freely. Her resolve to kill them all grew stronger.
Later, during lunch, Mugo started bullying another classmate. Just as he was about to throw a punch, time warped, and he inexplicably ended up on the floor. Yahi coldly reminded him that he despised people who made noise during meals. Observing the scene, Seya revealed that Yahi had the power to freeze time. However, Nana noticed something unusual about the bullied classmate’s tie, suspecting there was more to Yahi’s abilities.
Determined to confirm her suspicions, Nana joined Yahi for lunch. She dramatically gagged on her food to provoke him, but Yahi warned her that he hated noisy people. She retorted that his own loud chewing was worse. Ignoring her antics, he continued eating until she deliberately knocked over his cup of water. Time warped again, and the cup returned to its original position. Breathing heavily, Yahi admitted that his ability was to freeze time.
But Nana wasn’t convinced. She pressed him further, knowing that he couldn’t hide his true powers from her mind-reading ability. Realizing she already knew, Yahi confessed that his actual talent was the ability to change the past. Nana had suspected this all along. His compulsive actions—fixing every water droplet and adjusting the tie of the classmate he’d attacked—betrayed his need to rewrite events to his liking.
Yahi’s power made him the most dangerous mutation for Nana to deal with. At that moment, Kya appeared and asked Yahi to go back in time to find out what had happened to Ea. Hearing this, Nana’s worst fear came true. She panicked but hid it, pretending not to know what Kya meant by “disappearance.” She thought Ea was simply unwell.
Kya dismissed her assumption, insisting that Ea was definitely not sick. He explained that their dorm rooms were next to each other, and Ea hadn’t responded to any of Kya’s knocks. Something was clearly wrong.
Kya remembered seeing Ea leave school with Nana just before he disappeared. Suspicious, he asked her where they had gone and what they had been doing. Nana tried to think of an excuse, aware that her story would start to unravel if Kya had an investigative talent. Desperate to divert his attention, she changed the subject, asking why he was tugging at her hair.
Kya smirked, revealing that he felt compelled to grab onto “loose ends.” Nana paused, wondering if he was calling her a “loose end,” but quickly tried to deflect suspicion. She speculated aloud whether the “enemies of humanity” were responsible for Ea’s disappearance. She glanced at Kya, reassuring herself that it couldn’t be him—after all, she could read minds and hadn’t sensed anything malicious from him.
Still, she found it puzzling why Kya cared about Ea, who had always distanced himself from everyone. Kya simply smiled at her before leaving. Yahi, observing the interaction, thought it was strange that Kya had known they would be at this location. Yahi then suggested they investigate whether Kya could have been the one responsible for Ea’s disappearance.
Although Nana forced a smile, inside, she was anxious. She knew the truth was getting closer to being uncovered. Outside the boys’ dorm, Yahi used his ability to travel back in time, returning a few seconds later. Exhausted, he collapsed onto the ground, explaining that his talent made him physically weak. He added that he hadn’t seen Ea return to the dorm that day.
Nana began to strategize, worrying about how she could eliminate Yahi. His ability to rewind time meant he could always go back and kill her first. Trying to gather more information, she asked how far back he could travel. When Yahi revealed his limit was 24 hours, she found this strange. If that were true, he could have continued jumping backward until he discovered what had happened to Ea.
As Yahi repeatedly traveled back, inching closer to the truth, Nana grew more uneasy. However, Yahi began to see Nana’s mind-reading ability as a problem, realizing that her awareness of his presence was pulling him back to the present each time. When he mentioned this aloud, Nana understood that his ability was linked to being “spotted” during his travels. While he admitted she was correct, she still had no idea how to eliminate him before he discovered the truth.
Hoping to buy time, Nana suggested waiting until tomorrow to investigate further. Yahi, suspicious, asked why she seemed so eager to stop him. His suspicion deepened as he bluntly asked, “Were you the one who killed Ea?”
At the cliff where Ea had last been seen, Yahi used his talent again to travel back in time. Nana froze, realizing she had no option but to rely on her own cunning. When Yahi returned, he revealed that Ea and Nana had been holding hands before his disappearance, a sign of their supposed closeness. Nana forced a smile, but internally, she panicked.
She realized Yahi’s memory had just been overwritten before she could push Ea off the cliff. Staying hyper-alert, she watched for Yahi’s presence, making sure he was gone before she acted. Once she was confident, she shoved Ea off the cliff, masking her actions.
When Yahi returned to the present, convinced of Nana’s innocence, he apologized for doubting her and decided to end the investigation for the day.
That night, Nana went to a shed, searching for shovels. Shortly after, she knocked on Yahi’s door in the middle of the night. Together, they ran into the forest.
He wondered why Nana was hiding the truth, but she claimed she didn’t trust him yet. Pointing to the spot where Ea was attacked, she explained that after holding hands, they were chased by a monster deep into the woods. According to her, the creature devoured Ea, leaving no trace. She admitted being too frightened to act but thought Yahi might be able to save him, as this was the place where he was “eaten.”
Determined, Yahi decided to try changing the past and activated his ability. However, as soon as he traveled back in time, he never returned. Feeling safe now, Nana began digging into the dirt, eventually uncovering the frozen pond beneath. She remembered that the lake hadn’t been frozen the previous night, and knowing Yahi couldn’t swim—and how physically weak time traveling made him—she was confident he would drown. Her plan was flawless: the frozen lake would ensure no one found his body, especially since Seya was likely to freeze the surface again the next day. This careful strategy allowed her to remain undetected by Kya’s growing investigation.
That same night, Kya stood at the cliff where Ea had died. Without hesitation, he leapt into the ocean below.
The following morning, Mugo and Seya began speculating about Yahi’s mysterious disappearance. Nana realized suspicions might soon arise that a serial killer was among them. Just then, Seya tried cornering Nana, using a clumsy pickup line: “Are you a rope? Because I’d love to hang with you.” Nana dismissed him, teasing that his girlfriend wouldn’t be happy about it. When Seya asked how she knew about his relationship, she smugly reminded him of her mind-reading ability.
At that moment, Kya appeared, derailing the conversation. Observing them, he pointed out it was obvious they were dating since they’d shared an umbrella—both were wet on only one side. Realizing Kya was intent on ruining her plans, Nana noticed the seaweed on his head and wondered if he had survived his ocean dive. Thinking quickly, she invited him to eat lunch with her, but Kya didn’t fall for her friendly gestures and walked away.
Determined not to give up, Nana trailed him throughout the day. Later, she visited his shack and discovered he was caring for a stray cat. Surprised by this tender side, she thought he might be smarter than he looked. She decided to meet him again, hoping to learn more about him.
This time, Kya invited her into his room and asked if they could become friends. Suspicious, Nana wondered if he was trying to keep an eye on her. As she stepped inside, she was disgusted by the sight. His room was an absolute mess, and she thought it was worse than any “Reddit Discord mod’s” den—reeking of neglect and laziness.
While they played a video game together, Kya confessed he wanted to make new friends and asked for her advice. He admired how quickly she had befriended Ea and Yahi after arriving on the island. Nana suggested he stop looking like a “scary douchebag” if he wanted people to approach him. However, she couldn’t shake the nagging feeling that she couldn’t figure out what his talent was.
As they talked, Nana subtly probed him to see if he was investigating Ea’s disappearance. Kya revealed something unexpected—his sister had gone missing after being sent to the island. He hoped that solving the mystery of Ea’s murder might bring him closer to finding her.
That evening, as Nana prepared to leave, Kya showed her Ea’s watch and asked if she had seen it before. Scrambling for an excuse, Nana tried to think of a plausible lie. Before she could respond, Kya suggested they head to the cliff where Ea had disappeared.
Once there, Kya started piecing things together. He speculated that the watch belonged to Ea, having found it at the bottom of the cliff. He theorized that Ea might have thrown it with his last ounce of strength, hoping someone would find it. Feeling the pressure, Nana nervously suggested that Ea must have decided to “hug the ground.”
Kya wasn’t buying her excuse. He suggested another possibility—that Ea had been pushed off the edge. When Nana tried to pin the blame on “enemies of humanity,” Kya countered that it didn’t make sense. “Why would monsters push him off a cliff when they could just eat him?” he asked.
Hearing this, Nana realized that Kya was far sharper than the other two fools she had dealt with.
She had already killed before, and Kya began saying he would report Isa’s death to the inept school officials. Fearing the truth would be exposed, Nana tried to persuade him, claiming that such news would only send the students into a panic. However, when she realized Kya’s mind was set, she decided to probe into his talent, hoping to discover it and kill him once she had the information. Yet Kya wouldn’t fall for her ploy, daring her to read his mind if she truly was a psychic.
That night, in her room, Nana made her report to the committee while reflecting on her earlier requests before arriving at the island. She had asked the committee to reveal all the teenagers’ abilities, arguing that such knowledge would help her craft a better strategy for eliminating them. However, the committee had refused, explaining that the Talented often evolved during puberty, awakening new powers that could differ from their initial data. Realizing that even the Talented had limits, Nana resolved to uncover the boundaries of Kya’s abilities.
The next day, Kya explained to the teacher that Isa might be dead and showed him Isa’s broken watch as evidence. The teacher was too stunned to respond, and Nana realized just how useless the school faculty were, completely unaware of the committee’s true intentions. As they were about to leave, Nana mentioned that Isa’s cat was missing, pretending to worry about it starving. Her true intention was to lure Kya back to the shack. While she hurried off, Kya grew suspicious, wondering why she couldn’t even pretend to care about Isa’s disappearance.
At sunset, Kya returned to the shack, questioning whether the so-called “enemies of humanity” even existed. Nana, on the other hand, was confident in her belief that no one knew the island’s true secret. The Talented believed they had been brought there to fight an external enemy, never suspecting that a talentless killer was among them. Nana thought she held the upper hand. However, Kya believed a human was behind the disappearances, convinced he held the true advantage.
Inside the shack, Kya noticed the cat was missing but decided to warm up its milk regardless. Meanwhile, Nana celebrated her plan’s progress, having deduced that Kya lacked a sense of smell. She had noticed his room always reeked like an anime convention, and he relied on expiration dates instead of sniffing his vegetables. As he ignited the stove, it exploded due to a gas leak. Waiting outside, Nana anticipated Kya’s talent being revealed.
When she saw his burned body, she thought he was finally dead. Pretending to call for help, she tried to run, but Kya grabbed her ankle, causing her to fall. He questioned why she was the first to arrive and how she knew to scream his name when his body was unrecognizable. Nana, however, noticed something shocking—his wounds were already healing.
Kya apologized for doubting her, insisting a true friend would never try to kill him. Yet he couldn’t ignore the strange look on her face, as though she’d seen a ghost. Given her mind-reading abilities, why was she so shocked to discover he was immortal? He decided to share another secret since they were “friends.”
He confessed that he had been born without the ability to smell but clarified that this wasn’t his talent’s weakness. Since all talents come with a price, he offered to project his true weakness to the forefront of his mind.
If Nana could truly read minds, she should already know Kya’s weakness. Pretending she had, she assured him that she would protect his secret. However, as he turned to leave, she resolved to uncover his weakness at any cost.
The next day at school, Mugo accused Kya of intentionally blowing up the shack. Kya dismissed the claim, explaining that a killer had tried to eliminate him—the same one who had killed Eay and Yohi. Seya, considering Kya’s words, suggested that a new leader be chosen since Eay was still missing. Seeing an opportunity, Nana thought becoming the leader would allow her to divert Kya’s attention away from her.
Just then, two students found a love letter in Michiru’s locker. As one of them began reading it aloud, Nana couldn’t help but think they were the most pathetic losers she’d ever encountered, especially since they had clumsily concealed the word “idiot” in the letter. Meanwhile, Meu noticed Nana’s wound and licked her exposed bone, healing it instantly. The other girls scolded Meu, warning her that using her ability drained her lifespan.
Curious, Nana checked Meu’s data and discovered she had killed over 150,000 civilians. With this revelation, Nana resolved to kill her like the others. Stepping outside, she noticed Kya stalking her, but he left without confrontation.
Later, while Michiru waited for her supposed secret admirer, Nana revealed the truth: the admirer didn’t exist, and the love letter was a cruel prank by the two troublemakers. Humiliated, the girls fled. That night, Nana reviewed her observations about Meu’s ability. She concluded that Meu could only heal with her tongue, making her vulnerable to a backstab, as her tongue couldn’t reach the wound.
As Nana prepared to leave her room, she found Kya waiting outside. When she asked why he, a “Discord mod,” was lurking, Kya claimed he was protecting her from the killer. Nana, however, knew he was trying to monitor her movements to see if the killings stopped. She reentered her room and turned up her music.
A short while later, Kya grew suspicious and peeked through her window, spotting her sneaking into the other dormitory. He followed as she entered Meu’s room, where Nana suddenly screamed that an enemy of humanity was standing at the window.
Hearing the scream, Kya rushed to the scene, suspecting Nana had found another victim. Inside the room, he found Nana injured, with Meu attempting to heal her wound by licking it. Kya asked how she had been hurt, and Nana, ever the liar, claimed she had overheard the killer’s thoughts and had rushed to save Meu.
Kya, unconvinced, questioned why no one had seen the killer and why she hadn’t sought his help, knowing he was immortal. Nana, however, was proud of her manipulation. She had staged another scenario to make herself appear as the killer’s victim, believing this ploy would remove her from suspicion.
Despite her efforts, Kya remained skeptical, thinking her story didn’t add up.
The next day, Kya confronted Nana, asking her to explain exactly what had happened. She repeated the same fabricated story, but Kya, skeptical, began piecing together the inconsistencies. He wondered why she had jumped out of her window and speculated that she must have intentionally injured herself in Michiru’s room, knowing Meu could heal her.
As the other students arrived, Mugo and Seya reignited their argument over who should be the class leader. Seizing the moment, Nana broke into tears, claiming it was her fault Eay had died because she hadn’t used her psychic ability to locate the enemy in time. Moved by her display, the students suggested making her the new leader, reasoning that her talent would help them identify enemies before they struck. Swayed by her manipulative performance, they unanimously agreed.
However, Kya noticed the stitching on her back and found it suspicious. Later, Nana approached Muru and asked her to record everyone’s talents, pretending it was for an emergency. Naively trusting Nana, Muru agreed. Just then, Kya appeared, apologizing for suspecting her. But as he was about to leave, he questioned why a monster would stab her with a needle-like weapon when they were known to have claws. Wishing her luck, he walked away, but Nana realized he was merely pretending to believe her.
That night, Nana prepared poison needles, planning to eliminate everyone at once. But when she arrived at the dormitory, a new student, Hadad, approached her. He revealed that his talent was the ability to see the future through psychic photographs. Presenting a photograph, he asked why she intended to kill him. The snapshot, captured from the future, left Nana speechless.
Hadad suggested they have dinner together and, after loudly kicking the cafeteria door until they were allowed inside, he made an order. During their meal, he explained that his premonitions always came true. To prove it, he showed her another photograph: it depicted Nana covered in spaghetti. Skeptical, Nana declined her meal, hoping to alter the future. However, as the server left, she slipped, and the spaghetti landed squarely on Nana’s face.
Pleased with himself, Hadad declared that the future couldn’t be changed. He then revealed another photograph—one showing Eay falling from the cliff—and demanded to know why Nana had killed him. Realizing he wasn’t planning to expose her but rather to control her, Nana pretended to submit. When Hadad smugly commanded her to become his girlfriend, she reluctantly agreed, noting he was a lonely loser desperate for companionship.
In his dormitory, Hadad forced Nana to massage him, claiming it was her “duty” as his girlfriend. Using the opportunity to study him, Nana asked if he had ever managed to change the outcome of his premonitions. He admitted it was impossible. However, since one of his visions depicted him alive until 10 p.m. the next day, he confidently declared that no attempt to kill him would succeed before then.
Despite her frustrations, Nana stayed calm, secretly observing him. When Hadad fell asleep, she noticed his camera ejecting new photographs. Studying them, she realized his snapshots were taken from his dreams, meaning he had no control over what parts of the future he saw. Recognizing this as a weakness, Nana grew confident she could outmaneuver him.
Among the photos was one she couldn’t afford anyone to see. Swapping it with a fake, she resolved to destroy the rest before morning. When Hadad awoke, he remarked that he usually had five premonitions each night but had found only four photographs on his pillow. Suspicious, he began questioning Nana.
Hadad suspected Nana had hidden the last photograph and decided to search through her clothes. When he found it, he realized it depicted Nana’s execution. Delighted by the idea of killing her, he instructed her to meet him at the shed that night, intending to recreate the scene from the image. After he left, Nana tampered with his watch, hoping to disrupt his sense of time.
That night, Nana arrived at the shed first, but her poison needles accidentally slipped under a table. When Hadad entered, he exuded confidence, believing he would successfully eliminate her. As Nana tried to strangle him with a rope, he managed to free himself and punched her to the floor. Feeling victorious, Hadad revealed that he had already reset his watch and bragged that she couldn’t kill him because his latest premonition predicted he would end her life at exactly 10 p.m.
With Nana subdued, Hadad thought it was over. But as he attempted to further assert control, she caught his hand, leaving him paralyzed. In that instant, she pierced him with a poison needle and calmly told him that his photographs truly did predict the future. Confused and panicked, Hadad asked how things had gone so wrong.
Nana smirked and revealed that the photograph he saw was fake. She had intentionally lured him to the shed, knowing his overconfidence would make him vulnerable. Just as she prepared to savor her victory, the worst part of her plan unfolded—Kya and Meu burst into the shed, demanding to know what had happened.
Thinking quickly, Nana screamed at Meu to save Hadad, claiming he had fallen in an accident. But Kya wasn’t convinced by her tears. He produced a photograph they had found in Hadad’s room, revealing it to be evidence against Nana. When he demanded to know why she had been staying with Hadad, Nana claimed that Hadad had been blackmailing her with photographs he had taken of her in the bathtub, forcing her to become his girlfriend.
Kya, skeptical, wondered if she had tried to kill Hadad to free herself. Nana denied it, arguing that Hadad’s body had no external wounds. She suggested that enemies of humanity were responsible, claiming she had seen one. Kya questioned how these so-called enemies could kill without leaving physical marks, but Meu interjected, explaining that some of them had the power to cast deadly curses.
Still unconvinced, Kya thought the whole story was suspicious, especially Nana’s demeanor. Smiling slyly, Nana made a snide remark about how “broken” the enemies’ abilities were, mentioning time travel, immortality, and future prediction. As she walked away, Kya noted her behavior and expression as highly suspect.
Nana’s only focus now was to retrieve the remaining photographs in Hadad’s room. She quickly began searching, relieved when it seemed none had been discovered. But just as she felt safe, Kya appeared behind her.
Nana managed to slip the photographs into her bag. When Kya asked why she had returned to the room, she claimed she was just gathering her things. However, Kya grew suspicious, wondering why she was still alive when the psychic photograph had predicted her death. He also suspected the photograph was fake, noting that the rope in the image appeared double-wrapped—something that was unlikely in a real murder. Typically, a rope would be wrapped once because the victim would struggle as the killer tied it.
As Kya handed the photo back to her, he wondered why she had taken a photo of herself, realizing she likely wanted Hadad to let his guard down. With a sense of fate on his side, he thought something bad had occurred between them. After Nana left, he wished he had arrived sooner to search for clues.
Back in her room, Nana checked the photographs again, only to find one was missing. She realized it must be with Hadad’s body. Meanwhile, Meu tried to heal him but soon discovered that Hadad’s soul had already moved on to Nirvana—her powers could never bring the dead back to life. The missing photo was of EA’s fall from the cliff. Before Meu could figure it out, Nana appeared and, noticing the photo Meu was holding, took it away. She explained that Hadad never truly had the ability to see the future; instead, all his photographs were just images of his dreams. Nana asked Meu to keep this secret between them.
A few days later, at Hadad’s funeral, Kya grew frustrated that the school officials weren’t investigating his death, and even the teacher was clueless. Taking charge, Kya stated that Hadad must have been murdered. Nana panicked, fearing the truth would be revealed, and tried to stop him, worried that it would cause panic. Kya insisted on performing an autopsy, but Nana tried to deflect, arguing that it was too coincidental for Hadad to die while attacking her, especially when she had been near when the shed exploded.
Kya, starting to realize that Nana had a point, realized that she might have been the killer, since she was one of the few talented individuals on the island. Unknowingly, Kya had fallen into her trap. However, Nana continued to manipulate the situation, pushing the idea that the enemies of humanity were responsible.
Determined to find answers, Kya went back to the funeral home to perform the autopsy. But when he opened the coffin, the body rose on its own. A boy named Shinji stepped forward and revealed that he could use his necromancy power to make the dead confess the truth of their death—and even make them walk again. The others, initially horrified, were soon reassured when a girl explained that Shinji was just an ordinary boy.
Shinji then claimed that he could see through Hadad’s eyes and even draw out the memories of his final moments. In a final act of desperation, Nana began screaming that Hadad’s soul would be violated and that she could hear him screaming from Hell. The thought terrified the other students. As Kya realized they would start seeing him as the villain, he decided to call it off. Shinji, however, insisted that Hadad return to the coffin. Nana immediately recognized Shinji as her next target.
The following morning in class, Nana asked Yuka where Shinji stays during the day. Yuka revealed that Shinji was always in his room. Nana, realizing they were likely dating, thought she needed to eliminate both of them. That evening, she began spying on them from behind a tree. When Kya appeared and asked what she was doing, Nana claimed she was just out for a late-night walk. Kya, already knowing she was lying, wondered if Shinji was her new target. The pair noticed their presence at that moment, so Shinji began to leave. Kya noticed his bandaged arm and asked how he got burned. Yuka explained that he had been caught in a fire while rescuing people, and only survived because she had saved him.
The next day, Nana pretended to be sick and went to the infirmary. Meu thought she needed special attention. When Meu left, Nana realized she could easily slip out the window, head to the boy’s dormitory, and return before anyone noticed. With Kya patrolling the island every night, she knew this was the perfect opportunity. She immediately ran off, reading that Shinji had committed over 300,000 murders. After arriving in his room, she pierced him with a needle, telling him that Yuka would soon join him in the afterlife.
However, as she ran back to the infirmary, she noticed a cat stuck in the gutter. At the same time, Kya and Meu arrived at the infirmary. As Kya pulled the curtain back, they realized Nana wasn’t inside. Nana then started banging on the windows, claiming she had found a stray cat. Once they arrived at the spot, she told Yuka to lift the grate with her superhuman strength, hoping to test the limits of her power. However, Yuka explained that cats always triggered her allergy, making it impossible to use her powers.
That night, while everyone was asleep, Nana successfully sneaked into Yuka’s room, ready to end her, just as she had with Shinji.
However, a shadow knocked Nana to the ground, and she realized she had screwed herself over. Through the strong grip, she discovered that Shinji was still alive. While he possessed superhuman strength, Yuka was actually the Necromancer. At that moment, Nana realized that Shinji had died a long time ago and that Yuka had been animating his body all this time.
As Yuka found the needle, she revealed the true story: Shinji had died inside the fire, but Yuka couldn’t bear to live without him. So, she decided to never let him die. When Shinji suggested they eliminate Nana immediately, Yuka hesitated and wondered if they should spare her life instead. Nana realized that Yuka had split personality disorder and thought that Yuka was even worse than she was.
Just then, Shinji found the rest of Nana’s needles. Yuka said she would expose Nana’s secrets to the entire class. But in that moment, Nana decided to confess that she was the one who had killed all of them. However, Nana justified her actions by saying that at least she didn’t toy with the bodies of the dead. Even though Yuka knew the truth, Nana continued, telling her that the others would believe she was innocent once she claimed that Yuka had captured her during a night walk.
When Yuka tried to argue that Shinji was a witness to Nana’s attack, Nana threatened to reveal that Shinji was a corpse and that Yuka had been animating his body all this time. Growing reluctant to expose the truth, Yuka considered Nana’s offer to keep each other’s secrets. Nana promised to reveal Shinji’s thoughts to her, and tempted by this, Yuka agreed to set her free. Nana, however, realized she had outsmarted her. Pretending to read Shinji’s thoughts, Nana told Yuka that Shinji’s soul wanted to kill her, but she ran away immediately.
As Shinji processed her words, he began suggesting that they kill Nana, reasoning that Yuka could easily animate her body once she was dead and use her powers to read Shinji’s soul whenever she wanted. Thinking it was the best plan, Yuka agreed, and they set off to hunt her down.
Meanwhile, Nana was glad she had managed to lure Yuka outside. However, when Shinji noticed her presence, Nana began running. By the time Yuka and Shinji arrived in the forest, Nana taunted Yuka, asking if she animated Shinji’s body with her ugly necklace. Yuka then revealed that she could only animate a body if she acquired a piece of their property. As Yuka shined her light into the bushes, she realized Nana wasn’t there. But when Nana leaped from behind to snatch the necklace, Shinji appeared to strike her. Nana shoved Yuka away and ran into the darkness.
Wondering how she could snatch the necklace, Nana realized she was being followed. She wondered how Yuka was tracking her in the dark. Just then, a zombie appeared before her, trying to capture her, but Nana managed to escape.
However, more zombies appeared at the same time, and Yuka revealed that she had managed to animate other bodies buried on the island. Luckily, Nana managed to escape from them, but after spotting another zombie, she began running as fast as she could. Eventually, she arrived at a cottage and realized the door could only be locked from the outside. Deciding to test Yuka’s weakness, she began hammering the door, hoping to seal herself inside. As Yuka and her undead arrived, Nana quickly ran inside. However, Yuka, suspecting it was a trap to separate her from Shinji, decided to animate the dead bodies inside. They appeared behind Nana just as the sun began to rise.
To Nana’s relief, the zombies began to fall unconscious, and she realized that Yuka’s weakness was that she could only animate the dead at night. To trap her, Nana decided to lock the door, saying she would return at sunset. But before leaving, Yuka nearly stabbed her in the face. Later, in class, Kya asked Yuka if she had spotted Nana, but Yuka denied it, claiming she hadn’t trapped her inside the cottage.
Meanwhile, Nana had dressed up one of the zombies to look like her. When night fell, Yuka and her zombie squad arrived at the cottage, but when they opened the door, they couldn’t find Nana anywhere. Yuka eventually found her body lying dead on the floor. However, when she picked up the head, she realized she had been tricked. She screamed at the zombies to search the forest, but they found no traces of Nana. By morning, Yuka began returning with the corpse, but as she entered the dormitory, Nana appeared behind her and knocked her to the ground.
Pulling a paper from her pocket, Nana revealed that the necklace wasn’t the thing Yuka used to animate Shinji—Yuka had been protecting the paper in her pocket, not the necklace, the night before. Nana told Yuka to follow her, hoping to avoid drawing attention. Once they arrived at the cliff, Yuka wondered if Nana had some other talent for escaping the cottage. Nana explained that she had walked out through the front door. She had pretended to seal herself inside, but actually unscrewed the hinge and sealed it with tape, concealing her plan. Yuka had thought Nana was trapped.
When Yuka asked why Nana allowed herself to be sealed in, Nana explained that she wanted to test if Yuka could animate corpses during the day. She had carefully laid out her plan and decided to attack when all the zombies had passed out. Realizing it was over for her, Yuka started begging for forgiveness, asking Nana to give Shinji peace. But Nana told her to return her needles first. Yuka did so immediately, but soon discovered that Nana had already thrown the paper into the water.
This realization made Yuka lose her mind. Nana began questioning whether Yuka’s entire story had any truth to it. Yuka admitted she had no memories of Shinji, and Nana quickly realized that her story had been fake. Nana asked why she only had a ripped piece of paper as Shinji’s relic rather than a significant possession. At that moment, Yuka grew afraid that her secret was about to be exposed and confessed that she had actually started the fire to ruin Shinji’s date with his true love. The real Shinji had hated her, but she was determined to have him. She had decided to animate him after causing his death.
As Yuka continued to speak, Nana used her needle to end her miserable life. Once Yuka was gone, Nana wondered why Yuka had held on to the piece of paper instead of discarding it right away. After all, Yuka had killed over half a million people. Nana questioned whether part of her wanted to spare Yuka by throwing away the paper. Without wasting any time,
She pushed Yuka’s body into the water and noticed that Shinji’s body was starting to rot. After returning to the forest, Nana began wondering if she should have spared Yuka’s life after all. She thought about using her powers to uncover how the other corpses had been killed, but ultimately decided to forget about the corpses and focus on her mission.
Eventually, she came across Habu hiding in the bushes. Habu nearly wet herself when Nana confronted her about lurking around. Habu explained that she was looking for snakes, as their toxins helped her retain poison fluids in her body. Realizing she was alone, Nana asked where her ugly partner was. Habu revealed that they had been separated and showed Nana their final chat.
This was all Nana needed to hear. As she devised a plan, she told Habu that her friend was waiting to reconcile with her in the bushes. When Habu turned to look, Nana immediately pierced her with a needle. Completely paralyzed, Habu was forced to reveal her phone password after Nana lied about giving her an antidote in exchange. Once Habu screamed her password, Nana opened her hand, and Habu realized there was never an antidote. At that moment, Habu’s soul left her body. Nana dragged her to the other zombies, hoping to make the new murder suspect.
A few minutes later, she snuck into Kori’s room and successfully replaced her contact lenses. However, when she tried to open the window, she discovered it was stuck and could only be opened from one side. Despite this, she thought her plan would work. With her preparations set, she decided to visit the school. When Kya asked if she had come across Yuka or Shinji, Nana told him they were dead, launching into an Oscar-worthy performance to convince him of her innocence.
Eventually, she led the boys to the forest, revealing that Yuka was the necromancer who had killed Shinji years ago to make him her boyfriend. When they arrived at the cliff and saw Shinji’s rotten corpse, she told them that she had convinced Yuka what she was doing was wrong, but Yuka had chosen to end her life. Nana then asked Mugo to burn the bodies, saying their souls were screaming in her mind.
The others were creeped out by this, but Mugo agreed to burn the bodies. Kya, however, found Nana suspicious for always being at the scene of the crime. Nana wasn’t done, though. She suggested that Mugo burn the other zombies before their bodies started stinking up the island.
Back at the dormitory, Seya suggested they warn the others about the killer, but Nana, the liar, insisted that it would only cause panic. Kya wasn’t buying her story and asked where she had been, considering she was always out of sight when someone was killed. He demanded to know why she had been snooping around while everyone was in class. Just then, a girl screamed from inside the dormitory, and they rushed in to find another girl dead.
Kya realized she had died a few hours ago and instructed the boys to get the survival kit. He then ordered Nana to stay within sight, threatening to cut off her hands at the slightest movement. Kya began examining the body and discovered that Kori had been trying to put in her contact lenses before she died. Thinking it was suspicious, Kya decided to drink Kori’s white liquid. At that moment, he began choking on the poison, complaining that it was extremely hot. Nana immediately opened the window, and Kya survived, realizing his body was immune to poison—but it still made him suffer.
Kya revealed that Kori’s lens case had been poisoned and deduced that the killer must have set her up. Given Nana’s absence from class, it made perfect sense that she had snuck into Kori’s room before she returned. Kya tried to open the window, but it was still stuck. Mitu, defending Nana, said she was an angel and could never do something so evil. However, as they began to leave, the situation remained tense.
Nana decided to ask about Habu’s superpower, seeing as she was the closest to the dead girl. Meiru revealed that Habu’s talent was producing poisonous body fluids. Kya began thinking she could be responsible for the deaths and suggested they find her immediately. However, when they returned a few hours later, they realized Habu was missing.
To cook up another story, Nana claimed she heard a monster’s thoughts inside the forest and suggested that Habu had been attacked by the “enemy of humanity.” Kya, however, thought her lies were getting old and said the killer was definitely human. He decided to search the room once more and asked Nana if she was friends with Kori. Nana, trying to lie her way out, said they weren’t friends, but she immediately realized that she had exposed herself.
Kya had intentionally drank from the lens case, suspecting she had been in the room before. He figured out she had been there and instantly considered her a suspect. When he began saying that Nana must have visited the room earlier, the moronic, ugly kid (Mitu) started defending her, saying that Nana was certainly innocent. Mitu then revealed that Nana had found Kori’s cell phone, which showed that Habu was the killer.
Nuru added that Habu had sent a final text while they were searching around the island, but Kya thought Nana must have sent the text while they were distracted. All her cooked-up stories wouldn’t persuade him to believe she was innocent, so he told Mitu to stay away from her and said that she was the actual killer. At that moment, the others arrived, and Kya saw that he had the perfect audience. He decided to reveal everything he had figured out. He explained that Nana must have killed Habu before arriving at school to pretend she was innocent. Kya had kept his eyes on her the entire time and concluded that she suggested burning the bodies just so they wouldn’t discover that Habu was already dead.
Furthermore, Kya revealed that Nana had stolen Habu’s phone and must have secretly sent the text to lure Kori into wearing the poisoned lenses. Desperate to save herself, Nana tried to argue that she couldn’t have possibly sent any texts. Kya, however, was certain that she could have easily read Habu’s thoughts and stolen her phone password. At that moment, Nana knew she was cornered, but Kya wasn’t done yet.
He stepped closer to her, wondering if she was still in possession of Habu’s cell phone. Having already noticed she was hiding something in her clothes, he decided to search her pockets. Although he found them empty, Meiru began defending her again, saying that Nana wasn’t the killer.
No one realized that Nana had left Habu’s phone with a zombie, hoping that its melting body would tap the send button. Luckily, it worked out exactly as she planned. However, Mitu began asking Kya to apologize to her, saying that his accusations had left her traumatized. Kya, feeling ashamed, decided to apologize for calling her a suspect, but Nana seized the opportunity. She said that Habu’s soul was calling for peace and asked that they never suspect each other again. To her surprise, the others accepted her words without question. Nana then suggested that they all make a report of everything that happened to gain their trust forever. She even went as far as to shake Kya’s hand, but deep down, Kya knew something was definitely wrong.
That night, as Nana pretended to guard the dormitory, Meiru appeared before her and began calling her a hero. As she sat next to her, Meiru offered to watch over the dormitory instead, but Nana began to wonder if she was really doing the right thing. While she pretended to sleep, Meiru asked why she couldn’t read her thoughts and immediately held a box cutter to her throat, demanding to know what her real power was. Nana, caught off guard, began to lie once more, saying she could release poisonous fluids from her body. However, Meiru, already frustrated with her repeated lies, didn’t buy it.
As Meiru distractedly lowered her guard, Nana seized her hand, causing the box cutter to fall. Meiru had expected this and began saying that Nana must have been trained as a special agent. Just then, two girls appeared outside, and Meiru quickly pretended they were having a regular conversation. She decided to head inside, leaving Nana to think about how to handle the situation.
The next day at school, Meiru returned, saying that she brought Nana a present and asked her to guess what was inside. Sensing it was a trap, the lying Nana pretended that her telepathic brain was on a break. Meiru, undeterred, told her that she would return. Nana realized that Meiru might be trying to expose her fake talent, but she couldn’t figure out how to outsmart her just yet.
At lunch, when Kya arrived in class, he noticed that all the students were gathered around Nana as Meiru continued to pressure her to reveal the item inside her box. Fearing exposure, Nana quickly guessed that it was a greeting card. Meiru revealed a bath set, but Nana had already prepared a backup plan. She confidently told Meiru that she could read the friendly message inside her thoughts.
At that moment, Kya walked in and noticed something strange—there was a love note stuck to Meiru’s back. All the other students noticed it too and began to believe that Nana’s mindreading ability was real. They thought she must have read their thoughts to discover the note. Playing along with the narrative, Meiru then began saying that Nana’s abilities were indeed real after all.
However, Kya, still suspicious, wondered aloud who had glued the note to Meiru’s back. At sunset, while Nana and Meiru were on the cliff, the tension was palpable. The truth seemed to be hanging in the balance, but Nana was ready to weave more lies to maintain her carefully constructed facade.
Nana, growing more desperate, asked Jyn where the real Meiru was, having noticed Meiru’s bruises were hidden under tape. She thought that Meiru’s power to heal should have easily fixed the scratch, and concluded that the person standing before her wasn’t truly Meiru. Nana’s suspicion grew as she began to think that an enemy might have transformed into Meiru’s body, leaving the real Meiru either captured or dead. Impressed by Nana’s perceptiveness, the girl revealed her true identity—she wasn’t Meiru at all. Introducing herself as Jyn, she confessed that she had taken Meiru’s form to figure out who Nana really was.
Jyn then revealed her true form to Nana, introducing herself as “Jim,” a former student at the school. She explained that she had a deep personal interest in learning the truth about Nana. As they spoke privately in a hidden cave, Jim confided that he was once known as Stray Cat, the one whom Kya had been feeding milk. His real goal was to find an ally, someone to stand by him against the forces of the island.
Jim went on to explain that the zombies Yuka had summoned were his old friends who had died five years ago. He told Nana that, five years prior, they had all been brought to the island together. Their friends began mysteriously disappearing, leading to distrust. Desperate to take control, they started killing each other in an effort to become the leader. Factions formed, and a brutal war broke out among them. They were tricked into believing they were all enemies of humanity, and even after the officials abandoned them, the leaders of the factions kept fighting, continuing the war until everyone was dead.
After the destruction of the factions, Jim managed to escape, but he was hunted by government agents who wanted to eliminate him. Realizing the government was targeting people with special abilities, he had been watching the island ever since.
Just as Jim finished explaining his backstory, Nana revealed that she had already poisoned him. She had slipped poison into his teeth, and in an instant, his soul left his body. Proud of her success, Nana was ready to report his death to the committee, feeling confident that she had outsmarted him.
However, as Nana pulled out her phone to make the report, Kya suddenly grabbed it from her. He realized that it contained all of Nana’s secrets, and in that moment, she knew she was in deep trouble. Nana quickly began searching for a way out, but to her shock, Jim wasn’t truly dead. He had transformed into Meiru’s form and was standing before her, revealing that he could use the abilities of whatever he transformed into.
Jim explained that his power—transforming into anyone or anything—was the key to his survival. He had lived through the war because of this broken ability, making him almost impossible to defeat. Nana’s mind raced as she realized that Jim was the true enemy of humanity. She couldn’t let him live, knowing how dangerous he was.
Just as Jim began to taunt her, Nana noticed her foot had been frozen to the ground. Panicking, she realized she needed to think quickly. Using her sharp wit, she told Jim to transform into her body and read her memories, hoping he would be distracted enough to give her a chance to escape. Jim began reading through her diary, looking for clues about her true nature.
Seizing the moment, Nana managed to free her foot from the ice. She bolted out of the cave, desperate to get to the forest. She hoped that revealing Jim’s true identity to the others would turn the tide in her favor, even though she knew the danger he posed. But as she ran, she realized her path ahead was uncertain, and she would need to outwit Jim one final time if she hoped to survive and protect her secrets.
As the fireball from Mugo slammed into Nana, she barely managed to keep her composure, feeling her body nearly disintegrate under the blast. When the smoke cleared, Nana was left almost lifeless, but miraculously, she hadn’t been completely obliterated. Jyn, now back in his true form, appeared and apologized for nearly roasting her alive. He explained that, after transforming into different beings, he struggled to control his powers. Jyn seemed genuinely remorseful, but he quickly shifted his tone, revealing his true intentions. He wanted to learn more about Nana, to understand who she really was, and promised to spare her life if she told him everything—the truth of her past.
With no other option, Nana reluctantly began to share her childhood with Jyn. She revealed that her parents had been murdered when she was young, and that she had believed the killer was an enemy of humanity. The memory of their deaths had haunted her ever since, and the trauma of losing them left scars on her soul. As she spoke, her strength faded, and her words began to lose their coherence. Before she could finish, she felt herself slipping into unconsciousness.
Just before her vision blurred completely, Jyn spoke again. He revealed that the Talented, people like her with extraordinary abilities, were being abandoned and untrained. He warned that, left unchecked, their powers would grow uncontrollable, and their Killer Instincts would be unleashed across the island. This revelation sent a chill through Nana, leaving her with more questions than answers.
The next day, Nana woke up in her dormitory, groggy but alive. To her surprise, Meiru was there, glad to see her awake. She explained that she had found Nana’s body outside the room and brought her back, though Nana immediately suspected that Jyn was the one who had really carried her to safety. Meiru, in her typical oblivious manner, wondered how Nana could keep fighting on her own. As she asked about Nana’s past, memories from her traumatic childhood began to resurface.
Nana, feeling the weight of her past pressing down on her, told Meiru that her parents were killed by enemies of humanity. The memories, always haunting her, bubbled up to the surface. However, as Nana spoke, she realized she had broken character for a moment. Her emotional vulnerability seemed to shock Meiru, who began crying, apologizing for triggering her trauma. Nana, ever the manipulator, knew that Meiru’s tears were nothing but empty sympathy, and she quickly dismissed the pity. She knew Meiru was just another weakling, one who would be easy to dispose of when the time came.
Thinking about how easily she could manipulate people, Nana saw an opportunity to gain support for her future plans. She began telling Meiru that she was, in fact, responsible for her parents’ death. She had opened the window for the enemy, inadvertently causing their murder. But as she watched Meiru react, Nana realized she was losing control of the situation. Meiru had already forgotten about the earlier slip-up in Nana’s behavior, and Nana quickly pretended to be too sick to continue the conversation.
That night, during the funerals, the teacher announced that classes would be canceled until the murder investigation was resolved. Kya, however, was not satisfied with this and demanded to speak with the higher-ups, vowing to give them a piece of his mind. As the day wore on, Nana’s old memories continued to resurface, but she began noticing that Meiru was acting strangely. She was growing weak, her energy fading rapidly.
Nana sensed a potential threat in Meiru’s frailty, but at the same time, she wondered if Meiru’s weakness could work in her favor. She had always been calculating, and the situation seemed to be slipping into her hands once more. But with so many pieces moving, Nana knew that she had to be careful—especially now that Jyn, the true enemy, was still lurking in the shadows.
As Nana lay on her bed, pondering her next victim, Jyn suddenly appeared in her room, startling her. He expressed relief that she was still alive, but his eyes were searching, eager to discover her weaknesses. Nana couldn’t help but wonder why Jyn hadn’t transformed into Meiru and healed her wounds. He explained that healing someone would drain his life force completely, leaving him vulnerable. Nana, understanding his plight, realized that Jyn suffered a severe version of the weakness when he transformed into a Talented body. This made him incredibly dangerous, but also limited in certain ways.
Jyn then pressed for more of Nana’s childhood story, offering to return her phone in exchange for more information. As she was about to speak, Nana noticed Meiru outside her door, looking hesitant. The poor girl confessed that she was scared to sleep alone, so Nana reluctantly let her inside, thinking that she could use Meiru’s vulnerability to her advantage. However, as the conversation turned toward Nana’s past, she realized that Meiru was just as eager to know about her childhood as Jyn was. The cat, too, seemed intent on hearing her story.
Knowing that this would be an opportunity to manipulate the situation to her benefit, Nana decided to reveal the full truth of her past. She began by telling them how, as a child, she had been exceptionally gifted at games, becoming a chess master at the age of four. One night, she snuck out to a convenience store, but upon returning, she had fallen asleep, forgetting to close the window. Her parents had always warned her to lock it, but when she woke up, they were dead. The police had revealed that the killer had entered through the open window, and the guilt had haunted Nana ever since. She had blamed herself for their deaths, believing that if she had only remembered to lock the window, they would still be alive.
As the memories overwhelmed her, Meiru reached out and held her hand, offering a warmth that Nana hadn’t expected. For a brief moment, she felt peace in her soul, something she hadn’t felt in years. However, Nana knew that this moment of emotional vulnerability wouldn’t last long. She was too focused on her plans for the future.
The following morning, Nana woke up to find that Meiru had stayed by her side all night, which made Nana feel even more secure in her ability to manipulate the girl. But their quiet moment was soon interrupted by Kya, who barged into their room, ignoring Nana entirely. He immediately questioned Meiru about whether she had stayed with Nana all night, and Meiru confirmed that they had been together.
Kya then led them to the boy’s dormitory, where they discovered that yet another student had been killed. Nana realized that she wasn’t the only killer on the island. Kya, ever observant, pointed out a stab wound on the body and began asking questions about the whereabouts of various students. When Mugo, the large and somewhat lazy student, was questioned, he claimed to have been hanging out with the other “losers” and giving them a motivational speech about plot development. Nana, ever the manipulator, subtly encouraged Kya to continue pressing for the truth, but Kya remained skeptical of the story.
As Kya continued to question the students, one of the boys attempted to mimic Nana’s voice. However, Kya dismissed him as too weak to be the killer. Another student claimed to have done astral travel, explaining that he could send his soul outside his body and into the bathroom. Yet another student, the Meathead, revealed that he could magnetize objects with his body, claiming his ability allowed him to turn into a human magnet. Nana’s mind raced, trying to piece together the mystery of the student’s death. Was the victim really killed the previous night, or had he been dead longer?
Kya, however, was undeterred. He confirmed that the victim had indeed been killed the night before and explained that he had spotted him during the mass funeral. At that moment, the victim’s lover, Fugo, appeared. She introduced herself and explained that she had found the body. Kya questioned her motives, asking why she had entered the room, but Fugo merely claimed it was a habit. Kya wasn’t fooled by her lies and demanded she reveal her talent. Fugo insisted they move outside to discuss it further.
Once outside the dormitory, Fugo explained that she could channel the atmosphere and launch powerful attacks using the air. Kya, however, wasn’t convinced and demanded that she demonstrate her powers. Fugo, perhaps overconfident, agreed, and with the others stepping back, she summoned a powerful wind, sending it crashing into Kya’s chest. The force of the wind knocked him to the ground, and it seemed as though he might not survive the attack. Nana, watching from the sidelines, realized just how dangerous the students were becoming—and how close she was to losing control of the situation.
Nana began running toward Kya, but she noticed his wound healing. He seemed to think that she could have easily killed Isi from outside the room. Just then, the teacher rushed toward them, informing Kya that the higher-ups were on the phone. Kya was relieved, eager to finally give them a piece of his mind.
Later that day, Nana decided to return to the crime scene, hoping to find any clues that could help with the investigation. She soon noticed moths under the bed, which seemed suspicious. However, her attention shifted when she realized that Meiru had been unusually quiet throughout the day. During lunch, Nana began to wonder if Meiru was starting to suspect her for the murders. Then, Meiru began asking a series of personal questions about Nana’s future, including whether she would return home with her family after leaving the island. Nana, feeling the tension, slammed her bowl down and sharply told Meiru to stop asking about her family.
As Nana pondered whether Meiru was trying to manipulate her into revealing secrets, the teacher arrived with a new uniform, explaining that Meiru had reported Nana’s old one was torn. Nana accepted it, but her suspicions grew. She realized that Meiru must have found the poison bottle hidden in her old uniform, possibly handing it over to Kya. Just then, El, with good posture, appeared, noticing Nana’s sadness. He tried to start a conversation, but she refused to say anything. He mentioned he was heading to interrogate Fugo and told Nana to follow him.
Before they left, the teacher informed Kya that the high-ups had approved their request and would be sending a representative from headquarters. Nana, intrigued, wondered how Kya had managed to persuade the committee to send someone. She thought to herself that she needed to kill as many students as possible before the island descended into chaos.
Inside Fugo’s room, Kya questioned her about where she had been since the funerals. Fugo claimed that a friend had visited and spent the night with her. Kya, satisfied for the moment, began to leave. However, as they walked down the corridor, Kya turned to Nana and asked if she believed Fugo’s story. Using her mind-reading ability, Nana tried to play it cool, pretending she didn’t understand what he meant. She replied that she thought Fugo was innocent, reasoning that after the funerals, Mugo had spent five hours giving a pep talk to the other students, and they would have heard Isi’s screams if the killer had attacked during that time. Nana theorized that Isi had been killed after Mugo’s speech, and since Fugo claimed to have been with a friend all night, she felt sure Fugo wasn’t involved.
Kya, however, remained unconvinced. He argued that Isi must have been killed during Mugo’s pep talk, as he had noticed the moths under the bed. Kya thought the moths were drawn to the light, and since Isi usually went to bed early, Kya believed the killer could have attacked while Isi was preparing to sleep. He reasoned that the killer wouldn’t have been able to sneak in through the window, since the lights would have had to be turned on. Kya pointed out that Isi’s talent, which allowed him to shrink his body, could have made it easy for him to hide and avoid being seen.
Nana wondered if the killer had snuck in through the window while Isi was asleep, but Kya dismissed the idea, saying it was impossible. He believed Fugo and Isi must have had a confrontation, and after poisoning his drink, the killer likely slashed his throat before escaping.
Later, Nana decided to visit Meiru’s room. She discovered Meiru was in the shower, so Nana began searching the room for clues. When she found Meiru’s diary, she started reading it. To her shock, Meiru had written extensively about her, detailing how Nana was the bravest person she knew. Meiru’s mysterious silence, Nana learned, was due to her desire to buy Nana a gift to comfort her for losing her parents.
At that moment, Jyn appeared with the poison and revealed that Meiru had always been a good friend to Nana. Stunned by this revelation, Nana asked why Jyn was telling her the truth. He explained that he wanted to find the committee that trained her to become a serial killer. He also mentioned that he was leaving the island but warned Nana to check on Meiru in the shower. Realizing Meiru had been in there for too long, Nana hurried to check on her. To her relief, Meiru was unconscious but still breathing.
Nana hurriedly pulled Meiru out of the water, fearing that her plans would be ruined if Meiru died. Once inside her room, Nana noticed that Meiru had developed a high fever. As Meiru began coughing, Nana realized that she was severely dehydrated and would not survive until morning without immediate treatment. Desperate, Nana decided to visit the teacher and demand that a doctor be brought to treat Meiru. However, the teacher informed her that the doctor had already left the island, and when Nana noticed the absence of other teachers, he explained that they had gone to the faculty building, fearing for their own safety.
With no other options, Nana turned to Kya for help, but he was busy examining Isi’s corpse to determine the time of death. Realizing time was running out, Nana asked for medications instead. She quickly received them and ran toward the cafeteria to gather food for Meiru. When she arrived, she found the door locked but broke the glass with a stone. While trying to open it from the inside, she accidentally nicked her finger, reminding herself to be cautious.
Back in the dormitory, Nana worked to cool Meiru’s body temperature. Just as she was finishing, Kya arrived to examine Meiru’s condition. Afterward, he noticed that Michiru’s room had been ransacked and deduced that Nana must have been going through her drawers. The next day, Kya decided to investigate one of the boys’ rooms, where Yuji told him he had found dead rabbits near the school bushes, killed in the same manner as the recent murder. Yuji speculated that the killer might be responsible, but Kya wondered how the boy could have listened to Mugo’s ridiculous five-hour speech without getting involved in the murders.
In Meiru’s room, Nana was relieved to see that her fever was going down, and she was glad the girl might survive after all. At that moment, Fugo entered and asked if Michiru’s wound was healing. Nana found her behavior suspicious, as she hadn’t previously mentioned Meiru’s illness. However, Fugo insisted on watching over Meiru while Nana rested. Annoyed, Nana coldly replied, “Your ugly blind face deserves to be laid to eternal rest. You’re just a victim.”
Realizing that her words were as useless as Fugo’s face, Nana watched as Fugo decided to leave. She then began to wonder if Meiru had been a witness to Isi’s murder and if Fugo was biding her time, waiting for the right moment to silence Meiru forever.
The following day, Nana woke up to find Meiru explaining that she had fallen ill after healing a wounded cat. Nana felt relief that Meiru hadn’t died but knew she needed rest. Nana offered to make her tea and told her to lie down in bed, but when Meiru noticed Nana’s nicked finger, she tried to lick it, prompting Nana to quickly move away. In the process, she accidentally knocked over the kettle. Nana screamed at her to prioritize her own health, fearing that Meiru’s condition might worsen.
Meanwhile, in the forest, Jyn discovered a dead rabbit and asked a mysterious shadow why he was killing animals the same way the loser had killed the stray cat Meiru had healed. Realizing things were spiraling out of control, Jyn warned the shadow to stay away from the forest.
Back at the dormitory, Kya encountered Ross Rento and began asking who Isi really was. Ross initially tried to lighten the mood with smooth pickup lines but quickly became somber, revealing that he was hiding his true feelings. Meanwhile, as Meiru and Nana had lunch, Nana grew anxious, realizing that she was running out of time. She considered killing Fugo and framing it as a suicide to divert suspicion, thinking that this would give her more time.
Despite her plan, Nana found herself feeling guilty when Meiru asked her to stay, expressing her fear of being alone. Nana, however, thought that if the committee got involved, she would be deemed a failure. She decided to leave but then changed her mind, returning to Meiru’s room. There, she asked Meiru why she bothered healing the “useless” girls who had bullied her, referencing the fake love letter they had written. Meiru, with genuine kindness, explained that everyone deserved to be saved and that she was willing to show everyone kindness, regardless of their actions.
In a moment of realization, Nana remembered a name from Meiru’s diary: Hitomi. She pretended to have read it in her thoughts, playing her usual manipulative game. Meiru, believing her lie, revealed that Hitomi had saved her life, and began to share the story with Nana.
When Meiru was much younger, she was bullied at school for healing her crush and was shunned like a plague. However, one day, after healing a puppy, a new girl named Hitomi appeared and thanked her for saving her dog. Hitomi soon became her guardian angel, threatening to beat up all the bullies. Over time, they began having lunch together and even hanging out after school. But when Hitomi mysteriously vanished, Meiru believed she had abandoned her.
Years later, when Meiru passed out in the hospital, Hitomi visited her and revealed that she had been suffering from cancer. While at school, Hitomi had pretended to be fine, but her condition had worsened, and she had to quit. The revelation made Meiru sad, and after a few weeks, she found out that Hitomi had passed away. She felt utterly useless for being unable to heal her. This experience deeply affected Meiru and made her want to heal everyone, even if it meant sacrificing her own life.
As Meiru shared her story with Nana, Nana was left speechless. Meiru wondered if she had been possessed by a ghost, but Nana, overwhelmed, left the room immediately. Once outside, Nana broke down, realizing that Meiru was a kind, innocent soul. She couldn’t understand how such a gentle person could have killed 150,000 people. In that moment, her old memories began to resurface—memories of how everyone had blamed her for the death of her parents.
Just then, Meiru entered the room and told Nana to search her memories. Meiru was convinced that Nana wasn’t responsible for her parents’ deaths. Nana struggled to remember exactly what happened, but then a memory came to her: She remembered that she hadn’t tripped in the morning and that her parents had cleaned her room and locked her window when they were done. They had always reminded her to do so. At that moment, Nana realized she wasn’t the cause of her parents’ death, but she still tried to blame herself anyway.
Meiru, sensing her distress, immediately hugged Nana, reassuring her that she had always been there for her. Nana realized that Meiru had been genuinely concerned for her well-being, and she felt grateful for the friendship. Meiru then told Nana that she wanted to buy her a gift, and Nana, still uncertain if she deserved it, began to wonder if she truly deserved Meiru’s friendship.
The next day, as they went shopping for gifts, Nana noticed a beautiful pen and thought it would make a lovely present. Just as she was about to make her choice, Kya appeared behind her.
Kya began asking Nana for her help to capture the killer, sensing that it was only a matter of time before the psycho found a new victim, and it could be any of them. As the sun set, Nana and Meiru started returning to the dormitory, but Nana, eager to express her gratitude, decided to give Meiru the pen. Meiru, in turn, told Nana that she had also bought her a gift. That night, Nana cuddled the gift while feeling excited about their blossoming friendship.
But just as she was about to fall asleep, JY appeared at her window. When Nana wondered why he had returned to the island, he warned her that Meiru was in danger. She had been lured towards the sea by the killer. Realizing that her first true friend was about to die, Nana rushed out. However, once outside, she realized it would be better to seek Kya’s support.
Meanwhile, in the forest, an invisible hand sliced Meiru across the face. When she wondered who had attacked her, the invisible assailant revealed that he had come to kill her. At the same time, Nana was hurrying towards the sea, but her master called her and asked about who she planned to kill next. Nana realized she was trapped but managed to pretend she was on the hunt for another victim. After the call ended, she thought about abandoning Meiru, telling herself that, as a talented, Meiru would eventually need to be killed anyway.
Back in the forest, Meiru was desperately running for her life when she was shoved toward a cottage. She hoped that Nana would come to her rescue, but the invisible man, knowing that Nana would never do so, prepared to end Meiru’s life. When the killer pulled out the knife, Nana realized the assailant was Rento, who must have slipped out of his body to kill Isi, just as he had done before.
Nana managed to save Meiru once again, telling her to run while she distracted the killer. As the knife came toward her, Nana grabbed it, and though it pierced her shoulder, she held onto it with all her strength. She screamed at Meiru to run, telling her that she never thought of her as a friend and had only used her. She even claimed she had always hated her. Meiru, heartbroken by these words, began to cry before running off into the forest. Nana felt a sense of relief knowing she had successfully made Meiru run away.
However, just as Rento prepared to kill her, he suddenly felt his physical body being strangled. Nana was relieved to see that Kya had found Rento’s body. As Kya squeezed the life out of Rento, he forced his soul back into his body, then shoved him to the ground. Kya informed Rento that he had searched the entire school for his body and recalled how Nana had revealed everything to him, even suggesting that he find Rento’s body. Kya also realized that Nana had genuinely been worried about Meiru’s safety and had agreed to her plan. Still, he couldn’t help but wonder if he would ever uncover Nana’s own crimes at the cabin.
Nana lay unconscious on the ground, her body brutally wounded by Rento’s knife. As she felt her soul slipping away, all the murders she’d committed flashed before her eyes. She thought she deserved to die and was at peace, knowing she’d soon be reunited with her parents’ souls. Yet, a deep sadness washed over her as she realized she would lose her newfound friendship with Meiru.
Just as the darkness began to claim her, Nana noticed Meiru had returned to her side. Meiru was clearly devastated, seeing her friend slipping away. In a miraculous turn of events, Nana somehow managed to recover. She stood on the shore, feeling incredibly lucky to have been revived, but when she checked Meiru’s body, she discovered that her only friend had sacrificed herself so that Nana could live.
The memories of their time together flooded Nana’s mind, and as the grief overwhelmed her, all she could do was scream the word “no” repeatedly, unable to accept what had happened. With tears streaming down her face, she mourned the loss of her precious friend.
As the video ended, the message left a lingering sense of sadness, and Nana’s journey as a complex, tragic character was far from over.
Until next time, my fellow legendary plot masters.
